- Poyers at Lemon Tree Passage. a 35 minute drive from ilanga. very nice for lunch.
- Little Beach Boat House (upstairs). 5 minute drive from ilanga. very nice restaurant
- Saltwater Restaurant Fingal Bay. 10 minute drive from ilanga. good restaurant. lovely location.
- Zenith Restaurant & Bar Shoal Bay. 10 minute drive from ilanga. a new restaurant with some good reviews
- Flames and Flavour- The Buoys. 8 minute walk from ilanga. gets very good reviews. great food
- Atmos Greek Restaurant Shoal Bay. 10 minute drive from ilanga. a new greek restaurant in a great location that serves excellent food.
Casual Dining
- Tynan Wines Port Stephens. cellar door wine tasting. worth a visit ! 10 minute drive from ilanga
- Shoal Bay Country Club. 10 minute drive from ilanga. very casual, really nice pizza, but has good steak, fish and a range of other foods. great atmosphere particularly on weekends when they have live music. Note you can't book here so best to try and go early
- Sandpipers restaurant. 5 minute walk from ilanga
- Little Beach Boat House (downstairs). 5 minute drive from ilanga. very nice restaurant
- Bay Harbour Café. Nice relatively cheap place for lunch right on the water. Ask for a table outside on the side. 8 minute walk from ilanga, just near the main Marina
- 2Brothers Indian Restaurant is the best Indian food in Nelson Bay. Just a 5 minute walk from ilanga.
- The Seabreeze Hotel. a 5 minute walk from ilanga. very nice restaurant/steakhouse. it has a nice pub too
- Authentic Thai. Wow wow wow. if you like Thai food, this is the place for you. 5 minutes drive from ilanga
- Sunan 9 Thai. a 5 minute walk from ilanga. decent Thai food
- Crest Restaurant Birubi Beach. a 15 minute drive from ilanga. decent food and great views as it is right on the beach
- Saltwater Restaurant Fingal Bay. a 10 minute drive from ilanga. good food and Fingal Bay is beautiful !
- Soldiers Point restaurants. About a 15-20 minute drive from the apartment. You should go to Soldiers Point to watch a Sunset one evening because it's beautiful there. There are a few restaurants there to choose from
- Cookabarra. If you like Barramundi, this is the place to go for lunch. It's about a 25 minute drive from ilanga. Very nice
- Do you love Oysters ? If so, you just have to go to Holberts Oyster Farm. Just a 15 minute drive from ilanga
- The Home Kitchen. Nice food set in a Home Interiors shop which is worth a walk around too. 5 minute walk from ilanga
- best Coffee and brekkie is Kin Cafe. a 4 minute walk from the apartment. Cross Donald St at the pedestrian crossing at Woolies and walk 30m down Stockton St. they have nice light meals too
- best ice-cream in town is definitely Neros. 5 minute walk from ilanga
if you feel like cooking, there is also a very nice fish market at the Nelson Bay Marina. Worth having a look at as they have very fresh fish
want some nice meat for a BBQ ? you can't go wrong at Guys Choice Cuts. just a 5 minute walk from ilanga
