Walk to Shoal Bay
This is a beautiful walk from ilanga to Shoal Bay with an optional stop at the Nelson Bay lighthouse where you can enjoy a coffee and a light meal while enjoying the spectacular views. This is an easy walk of approximately 4.5km each way.

take a drive to the corner of Tomaree Road and Marine Drive in Shoal Bay and park there. Walk just a few metres along Marine drive and then walk left along the sand path. After a 100m or so take the path to the right and follow the path until you get to the short but quite strenuous climb up the sand dune for a spectacular view of Fingal Bay and the spit. Drive to Shoal Bay and park somewhere near Zenith Beach. Take the short walk to beautiful Zenith beach before returning to the car park and then taking the path up Tomaree Mountain. Its quite a strenous 20 - 30 minute hike to the top but it is definitely worth the effort. The views from up there are spectacular !

Walk to Soldiers Point
This walk is best done on the mid to low tide. Its about 7km in all and its an easy walk. Soldiers Point is a beautiful place to watch the sunset, by the way.

Take the 10 minute drive to Kingsley Drive, Boat Harbour where you can park your car. From there, walk down to the lovely Boat Harbour Beach before heading off to the Whale Watching points along the rugged coastline. There are some lovely rock pools where you can take a cooling swim. T
